Squash, Pumpkin

For the first time we're making pumpkins available as add-ons. These delicacies come from Sarah Green and are of medium size, with an average weight of 2,5kg.

These North American winter squashes are one of the earliest known domesticated plants, with their use dating perhaps as far back as 7,000 BC. Regularly found in folklore and fiction they have often been meant to scare away evil spirits, hence their Halloween carving connection. But they also taste great and can be used in a variety of ways, from a sweet pumpkin pie to a spicy autumnal soup.
